My daughter set this to me so I thought I would share it. no Idea who wrote it originally and who ever did thank you
Computers : Masculine or feminine
A Spanish teacher was explaining to her class that
in Spanish, unlike in
English,
nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine.
“House” for instance, is feminine: “la casa.”
“Pencil,” however, is
masculine: “el lapiz.”
A student asked, “What gender is
‘computer’?”
Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split
the
class into two groups,
male and female, and asked them to decide
for
themselves whether “computer”
should be a masculine or a feminine noun.
Each group was
asked to give four reasons for its
recommendation.
The men’s group
decided that “computer” should
definitely be of the
feminine gender (“la computadora”),
because:
1. No one but their creator understands their
internal
logic;
2. The native language they use to communicate with
other
computers is
incomprehensible to everyone else;
3. Even the
smallest mistakes are stored in long
term memory for possible
later
retrieval; and
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find
yourself spending
half
your paycheck on accessories for it.
(THIS GETS BETTER!)
The women’s group, however, concluded that computers
should be
Masculine
(“el computador”),
because:
1. In
order to do anything with them, you have to
turn them on;
2.
They have a lot of data but still can’t think for
themselves;
3.
They are supposed to help you solve problems,
but half the time they ARE the
problem; and
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that
if
you
had waited a little longer, you could have gotten
a
better model.
The women won.

The 225 to 204 vote in the House — largely along party lines — came
after hours of delaying tactics, strident rhetoric and trench warfare
from Republicans who called the bill the first step toward “socialized
medicine,”
I read this and wonder just what the problem is with socialized medicine, after all the member of congress have it. If Socialized medicine is paid for by taxpayers they have a true socialized medicine.
but then again is what republican members of the house are saying is it is alright for me to have socialized medicine but the taxpayers can not have it?
Right!

How can a man that claims to the world that he is the caretaker and spreader of democracy to the world, want to veto a poll that would allow american voters a chance to be heard?

Just read that the bush cronies want to violate the constitution by re writing the wire tap laws. seems they feel they can be trusted but if you want to violate the constitution and write laws contrary to the spirit of the law, then you are not to be trusted as apparently they have no respect for democracy.
No surprises there

Importance of the Creator is not something that should be down played. The Creator is just that the Creator. The being that brings and keeps everything into existence.
According to Hindi beliefs his name is Brahma. The other part of those beliefs is just that there is only one God Brahma, now I know you hear about other gods much more. What you are actually hearing about is names for the different qualities or personalities of Brahma or the Creator Entity as I often refer to God as.
God is a very difficult being to pin down mainly because he/she is actually far beyond my ability to visualize or comprehend. He far beyond my wildest imagination and then even more.
I know a bunch of double talk and more double talk. What is of importance though is that he really does exists. Yes just that God is real. Just as the universe is real, The universe is al because God created it from his own essence. Yes you are correct in thinking the the universe is God. That is only part of God because the Creator Entity much more than that. Far greater than the sum parts of the whole.
As Buzz Lightyear puts it ” To infinity and beyond!”.

What happens to the economy when the extreme minor hold the wealth and the rest with few exceptions are in poverty? it is happening to day and daily the divide spreads.
There is a breaking point I am sure of that, especially since the social infrastructure has been eroded and destroyed. All in the name of greed. Indeed a very scary situation, at best.

Strange year this year 29 July 2007 outside here in the Netherlands, it is feeling like it is winter, or heading into a winter cold spell. It is as if the seasons are turned around.
Jet streams south of us and we are bathed in arctic air. and at the same time warmed by the summer sun. this is truly a strange summer, this year.

Politics seems to be working toward the entrapment of the greatest majority of the people.
Politics seems to have turned from looking out for the majority of the people toward the enrichment of the few.
