Well if

There is an old Chinese proverb that states “if you get up one more time than you fall down you will get to where you are going.”

(This the answer to a friend of mine complaining about how people are behaving and wanting the old ways and is edited from my email reply)

As far as bringing back the old ways, well time changes, and people and their attitudes change, but oddly the basis is still the same, peoples responses are just different, I think right now people in a way have lost their way, there is often a lack of moral structure, and this is partly the fault of religion as it has been taught over the last 100 plus years “Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior?” question unfortunately concept teaches non-responsibility, and that teaching is what has lead to the lack of moral decency and the problems encountered today.

Everyone myself included are responsible not only for their actions but also for what they have failed to do. A very complex issue and a confusing one at best, that does not mean that you have to go out and save the world, but deals with the daily walk of life, it is relevant to how you deal with the things that are happening to you as you live your life, and it has nothing to do with how others respond to their life. Finger point is not allowed. Remember what bothers you about the behavior of others is just what is bothering you in your own behavior and attitude.

That is just one of those things and the way they work.

Do not believe

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.

Leadership in America

Leadership in America in the recent past leaves a lot to be desired. Reckless and out of control with no checks and balances working. In thinking about it, and my past dislike for the weasel so called president of the USA. These thoughts brought to mind the old folk lore saying. “You can tell about a man by the company he keeps.”
It is strange how a simple folk saying can give guidance as to what a person is like. This is proving to be very correct, especially since the republican has been in power, starting with Regan. There has been a extreme amount of greed has run rampant and unchecked. I am Glad Americans are waking up and not wanting to tolerate this corruption, This is the beginning and needs to be carried onward.
One needs to remember that the purpose of government is to serve and protect all of the people, not just a select few.
Government employees are employees of the American people, not the employees of corporations.
Corporations are business organization not citizens. Government employees are there to protect the interest of the American people
